Dating fender stratocaster mexican
I've seen this guitar around my house since I was a child and know that I know how to play the guitar I use it.
Given the modular nature of Fender production techniques, an individual neck may have been produced in a given year, then stored for a period of time before being paired with a body to create a complete guitar, perhaps, for example, in the following year.I find it odd that we'd call a mim good beginner guitar when it's pretty much the same instrument as its Mia counterpart other than pickups and a few other things that don't cost over 3 times as much . I'm trying to date my Fender MIM Strats but I live in Europe and mine don't say MN nor do they say MZ..say MX and the number as the "made in mexico" writing is on the back of the headstock and not on the front...the same rule apply in my case? For everyone who needs help dating there Mexican strat with a MX.If it is MX10 6 digits it was made in 2010-2011 If it MX11 6 digits it was made in 2011-2012 And on some if it "10" prefix followed by a space and 8 digits it is late 2009 to early 2010 approximately march of 2010 ;) that was a useful video, thanks david. 3 digits of 500 corresponds to 35th Anniversary Strat from 1989-1990.
